Lismore man, Dylan King is wanted on five warrants after a driving disqualification in 2024 snowballed through two years of court dates, an appeal and increasingly serious charges — and he’s still nowhere to be found.
King, 32, was before the court in December 2024, caught driving while disqualified, not for the first time.
He was disqualified from driving for a further six months, and handed a 12-month supervised order rather than jail, requiring him to report to corrective services, undergo mental health counselling and complete a driving course.
Sentencing and Appeal
By July 2025, King was back before the court, found guilty on two counts of carrying a knife in public.
He was handed a fresh supervised order covering all three matters, running through to January 2027, with conditions including community service, drug testing and counselling.
He challenged the sentence as too severe.
When the appeal was heard in August 2025, it was allowed and the sentence reset — but the new order proved nearly identical, with the same 18-month length, the same dates and the same hours of community service. The only real change was that the drug-testing condition on the two knife charges was dropped.
Breach, New Charges and Bail
The three matters were brought back before the court in December 2025, over claims King had broken the conditions of his order.
He continued to attend court dates through the early part of this year, and in that time was charged with two further, more serious offences: arming himself with intent to commit a crime, and stalking or intimidating someone in a way intended to cause fear of physical harm.
King was granted bail on the two new charges in February 2026, through the Local Court’s Bail Division.
The conditions required him to live at a specified address, banned him from entering a specified area, and stopped him from going near, contacting or trying to contact the alleged victim or any witnesses, other than through a lawyer.
Dylan King Fails to Appear Twice
On Monday, King failed to appear in court over the original 2024 driving and 2025 knife matters.
His supervised order was cancelled, and three warrants were issued for his arrest — one for the driving charge and one for each of the two knife charges.
Three days later on Thursday, he failed to appear again, this time over the 2026 arming and stalking charges, having also broken the conditions of his bail.
The court went ahead without him, found him guilty on both charges, and issued two further warrants, one for each charge.
On the same day, a two-year protection order was granted for another person and anyone they live with.
It stops King from assaulting, threatening, stalking, harassing or intimidating the protected person, from damaging their property or harming their animals, and from approaching or contacting them in any way, except through a lawyer. The order runs until July 2028.
From a driving disqualification to weapons charges, an armed offence, stalking allegations and a protection order, King’s court history has escalated at nearly every turn — and despite five warrants now hanging over him, he remains at large.
Police are seeking the public’s help to locate Dylan King.
He is known to frequent the Lismore area.
