Three Queensland men and a Cudgen woman remain in custody after a Northern Rivers drug bust allegedly uncovered four kilograms of drugs, six rifles and Queensland Police uniform items.
A Northern Rivers drug bust has led to four arrests after police allegedly found four kilograms of drugs, six rifles, ammunition and Queensland Police uniform items in two vehicles at Banora Point.
Officers from the Northern Rivers Region Enforcement Squad arrested Yash Jamariya, 29, of Parkwood, and Zachary Skerry, 33, of Eagleby, on Leisure Drive about midday on Wednesday.
Police allege searches of the vehicles uncovered three kilograms of methylamphetamine, one kilogram of cocaine, six rifles, ammunition and several uniform items.
At the same time, officers stopped another vehicle leaving the area on nearby Greenway Drive and arrested Ryusei Kaku, 22, of Benowa.
Police allege he had planned to meet the other two men.
About 20 minutes later, officers searched a home on Bowen Loop at Cudgen, where Courtney Carlsen, 32, was arrested.
All four were taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.
The operation followed an investigation into alleged drug supply that began in June, with Queensland Police assisting the Northern Rivers squad.
Police named the investigation Strike Force Gimeko.
Mr Jamariya faces 31 charges, including nine drug supply offences and multiple charges involving the alleged supply or attempted supply of firearms, pistols, ammunition and other weapons.
He is also accused of wearing a police uniform without being a police officer, unlawfully selling firearms on three or more occasions within a year, and knowingly handling money or property obtained through crime.
Mr Skerry faces 16 charges, including three counts of possessing prohibited drugs, unlawfully supplying firearms and ammunition, and possessing and selling prohibited weapons. He is also accused of handling money or property obtained through crime.
Mr Kaku faces two charges: involvement in a criminal group and recklessly handling money or property obtained through crime.
Ms Carlsen faces a charge of involvement in a criminal group and two counts of knowingly handling money or property obtained through crime.
Mr Jamariya and Mr Skerry are also charged with involvement in a criminal group.
